The term ‘quest’ is now familiar to homestay owners
In the beginning of May Vidomlya rural settlement hosted an unusual training . The participants got acquainted with an innovative and quiet popular tourist product – questing. Quests are a sort of educational and informative getting one's bearings. After theoretical introduction training participants implemented their knowledge on practical experience: while walking around Vidomlya they defined the key points for a quest, tips and hints, directions. One can say that at the end of the day Vidomlya dwellers already had the first version of quest. more info
Culinary festival “Motalskiya prysmaki”
Culinary festival “Motalskiya prysmaki” was held for the third time in the village of Motol, Ivanovo district, Brest region. This year festival was two-day long. The first day was dedicated to “Creative gastronomic tourism laboratory”. Leading experts in the field of culinary heritage delivered their presentations, several projects on culinary heritage were presented, a round table “Development of innovative tourism product on the basis of culinary heritage” was organized. Guests of the festival were invited to join the excursion to the house of the first Israeli President Chaim Weizmann, to see the “Wedding loaf” ceremony, to go boating, to taste local dishes and enjoy the concert. The second day of the festival offered guests various concerts and exhibitions, performances from the old dynasties of Skirmunts and Bona Sforza, puppet show, old regional games and contests, exhibitions of local food and crafts “Granny’s quisine”, sales of famous Motol sheepskin coats, local souvenirs. Guests could attend workshops on local dishes and see Motol pies, round loafs, wedding baked goods and even a street of distillers.
