On the 5th of February in Grodno there was held a meeting of new members of the Public council on rural tourism development. Now Public council includes 18 people and it will work under the Grodno executive committee. The representatives of the sports and tourism department of the executive committee are involved in the council. Hopefully partnership with authorities will contribute to the work of public council. Natallia Barkova, the lecturer of the Grodno university, was elected as the head of the council. During the meeting  the annual plan of the council's work, the results of the best farmstead contest and  cooperation with Belarusian association "Country escape" and Johannes Rau international educational centre were discussed.
