The term ‘quest’ is now familiar to homestay owners
In the beginning of May Vidomlya rural settlement hosted an unusual training . The participants got acquainted with an innovative and quiet popular tourist product – questing. Quests are a sort of educational and informative getting one's bearings. After theoretical introduction training participants implemented their knowledge on practical experience: while walking around Vidomlya they defined the key points for a quest, tips and hints, directions. One can say that at the end of the day Vidomlya dwellers already had the first version of quest. more info
Festival "Folklore without bounds"
On the 19th of January in the village of Tyshkovichy (Ivanovo district, Brest oblast) for the fifth time there was held the international festival "Folklore without bounds" which united the participants from Belarus, Ukraine and Poland. Among the participants there were folk groups which presented the authentic Christmas costumes, songs and rites. The festival concured with one of the main orthodox holidays - Epiphany. Sledding and dipping into ice hole were organized. Such events can become a basis for unique tourist product connected with traditional culture of Polesye region and attract foreign and belarussian tourists in the region.
