The highest point of Belarus land was considered to be Dzerjinskaya Mountain, 345 meters high. Well, it can’t be compared with such mountains as, for example, the Karpati or the Caucasus but still there can be found about 25-30 representatives of mountain flora, and almost all of them are rare species, included in the Red book of the Republic of Belarus. more info

AGORA 2.0 project is in the homestretch!

This year Belarusian Association “Country Escape” is finalizing AGORA 2.0 project “Heritage tourism for increased BSR identity”, supported by the Baltic Sea Region Program 2007-2013. The project lasted two years, a lot has been done. more info

System of penalties
In October, 5 representatives of the National Council of Belarus introduced amendments into the code of administrative offences related agro- and ecotourism development. According to the president’s decree № 372 concerned agrotourism development in Belarus farmstead owners must inform rural council of deputies about their wish to lead activity of this kind. They must get registered at a tax body, pay duty, conclude a treaty on providing services in the sphere of rural tourism. They also have to present once to the tax body data about agreements made for this period. Having activity without this conditions entails fine from 1 to 10 basic sizes.
