|| Creative Green Tourism Laboratory: Belarusian tourism is becoming greener
Dear friends, colleagues and partners!
We wish you a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas! This year was important for us. It was the year of our 10th anniversary. We summed up the results and started planning the future. A lot has been done, but it’s still much to be done. We wish all ‘pioneers’ of rural tourism and all the rest who support our movement lots of joy, health and good luck in the coming year!

Creative Green Tourism Laboratory: Belarusian tourism is becoming greener
On the 1-2d of June 2012 Belarusian Association “Country Escape” has held a non-traditional event – ‘Creative Green Tourism Laboratory’. The event was held in terms of AGORA 2.0 project ‘Heritage tourism for increased BSR identity’ (http://www.agora2-tourism.net), supported by the Baltic Sea Region Program 2007-2013.
The event appeared to be really creative. People were involved in ‘green’ animation: forest mythological creatures surrounded participants and addressed them with questions and predictions. Local ‘gentlemen’ were fighting with each other because of accusing each other of hunting in Naliboky forest. And only by chance both of them survived.
The ‘Laboratory’ had two parts – theoretical and so called ‘field mission’. The first day included discussion and exchange of experience about innovative approaches in green tourism, ‘green’ tourism products and greenways. The field mission guided the participants towards a Greenway ‘Volozhinskiye gostsintsy’ where they could get acquainted with various ‘green’ tourism products included in the route – the farmstead ‘Land of bees’, ecomuseums of old instruments, ecomuseum ‘Brama u Naliboki’ (Gateway to Naliboki forest), ecoroute in Naliboki forest.
‘Creative Green Tourism Laboratory’ was a success. We believe it would become a good tradition to hold such ‘Laboratories’ in perspective, for example ‘Laboratory of heritage tourism’, ‘Laboratory of gastronomic tourism’, ‘Laboratory of wellness tourism’ and so on.
