Dear friends, colleagues and partners!
We wish you a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas! This year was important for us. It was the year of our 10th anniversary. We summed up the results and started planning the future. A lot has been done, but it’s still much to be done. We wish all ‘pioneers’ of rural tourism and all the rest who support our movement lots of joy, health and good luck in the coming year!

AGORA 2.0 project is in the homestretch!
This year Belarusian Association “Country Escape” is finalizing AGORA 2.0 project “Heritage tourism for increased BSR identity”, supported by the Baltic Sea Region Program 2007-2013. The project lasted two years, a lot has been done. more info
Slow Food movement is going forward in Belarus
Participants of Slow Food movement and experts in ethnographic and culinary heritage gathered on “Nakvasy” farmstead (Dzerginsky district) on the 10th of December 2010. This is Terra Madre day celebrated all over the world. Eco-gastronomic movement Slow Food is dedicated to preservation of biodiversity, development of local economies, support of farmers. Among the participants of the meeting were famous culinary expert Renato Cucinotta, ethnographer Ivan Cruck, expert in culinary heritage Tadeush Novogrodski and others. Discussion topic was the question “What will force Belarusian consumers switch from fast food to slow food?” Head of Belarusian Association “Country Escape” Valeria Klitsounova delivered a presentation “Gastronomic tourism and the perspectives of its development in Belarus” dealing with question of national cuisine usage on farmsteads. Rural tourism and Slow Food should cooperate.
