Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!


Dear friends, colleagues and partners! We wish you a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas! This year was important for us. It was the year of our 10th anniversary. We summed up the results and started planning the future. A lot has been done, but it’s still much to be done. AGORA 2.0 project is in the homestretch!


This year Belarusian Association “Country Escape” is finalizing AGORA 2.0 project “Heritage tourism for increased BSR identity”, supported by the Baltic Sea Region Program 2007-2013. The project lasted two years, a lot has been done.  more info

AGORA 2.0 meeting took place in Minsk

Joint BTC and AGORA 2.0 project “Heritage tourism for Increased BSR identity” meeting took place in Minsk in «Crowne Plaza» Hotel on the 7-8th of October 2010. The project AGORA 2.0 project “Heritage tourism for Increased BSR identity” is aimed at increase of BSR identity by developing heritage tourism and innovative tourism product on the heritage basis that may attract tourists to the region and form its joint identity.
Joint meeting was organized by the Belarusian Association “Country Escape” (which is one of the 24 project partners) together with other project partners and Baltic Sea Tourism Commission. There were representatives of various tourism organizations from the region on the meeting – from Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Poland). Participants discussed tourism development in the Baltic Sea Region and neighboring countries such as Belarus. There was held a panel discussion “Belarus as an incoming destination” which involved representatives of Ministry of Sports and Tourism, Belarusian tour operator union, Belarusian Association “Country Escape”? Tourism Information Centre “Minsk”, etc. Particular attention including a workshop was paid to heritage tourism and innovative tourism products development.
